Lee Sang-hyeok, a.k.a. Faker is a South Korean player who is currently playing as a Midlaner for team T1. He always loved puzzles and video games, including custom maps for Warcraft III and the MOBA “Chaos”. He discovered League of Legends in late 2011, and quickly became very good at the game. He attended the same high school as Deft (a fellow LoL professional player), which is Mapo High School. He dropped out of high school in order to join SKT in 2013.

Faker has won 3 World Championships (2013, 2015, 2016) and 2 Mid-Season Invitationals (2016, 2017), and has 9 combined LCK and Champions Korea titles. He is sometimes referred to as “The Unkillable Demon King” by Korean fans. As of September 2021, he has more than 3.5 million followers on Twitch, 1.44 million subscribers on YouTube, 704,500 followers on Twitter, 656,000 followers on Instagram and 701,975 followers on Facebook.

Faker, formerly known as GoJeonPa, is widely considered to be one of the best League of Legends players of all time. The professional gamer is known for his high-level mechanical skills and versatile champion pool. Faker is the first player to ever reach 1,000 and 2,000 kills (in 2020) in the LCK. He is the second-ever player to ever have played 500 games.
