Competitive Fortnite has gotten into a bit of a lull. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 had a lot going on with frequent cups. The delays though have meant things have pretty much stopped. The FNCS have ended, and most Cash Cups have dropped off in comparison to the last few months. Ninja has decided to fill that hole in competitive Fortnite by holding his own Fortnite tournament on Mixer. The Ninja Battles Fortnite tournament’s first week was a big success, but it saw a player banned and punished by their own team for a toxic outburst.
The incident has really become the main story of the Ninja Battle Tournament, despite some great plays going down over the course of the event. Bizzle in particular had a strong tournament, but it is ZexRow who has garnered most of the attention from the tournament.

Some highlights of the Ninja Battles Fortnite Tournament are below, though the entire tournament was pretty eventful.
ZexRow Outburst at Ninja Battles Tournament and Ban
The end of the tournament saw ZexRow place in first after a great performance. Obviously his teammates had a major impact on this, but ZexRow definitely took a lot of pride and credit for the win. While it isn’t his only good result to date, it might be his biggest accomplishment so far. Unfortunately, it seems this went to his head.
The outburst and behavior was pretty widely condemned by others involved in the tournament. Afterward, it was announced that the player wouldn’t be allowed to participate in future Ninja tournaments. This is a shame considering the player did well enough to come in first, but the punishment seems fair given the abuse he threw at the majority of other contestants.
His organization, TSM, have also weighed in. They issued an apology and clarified some things about the action they’re taking to deal with that kind of behavior from the player. Another incident would lead to him being dropped from the team entirely.
The Ninja Battles Fortnite tournament was a great bit of excitement in Fortnite’s current drought of content, outbursts aside. As the deadline date for the latest extension of Season 2 draws near, we’re sure to get plenty of tournaments returning to the game soon.
