Activision unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War officially on Wednesday (26). The game will be released on November 13 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5) and PC (via Battle.net). The game is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Softwares.
The novelty was released through the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Warzone battle royale mode. In game mode, players had to meet certain requirements and wait for the timer to reset. At the end of these tasks, the trailer was released to the public.
Black Ops Cold War is a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops, located in the geopolitical conflict between the US and the USSR that has historically been known as the Cold War. Players will embark on an adventure through the 1980s when nothing is as it seems.

In the image above, half shows the face of a Russian soldier with Soviet advertisements, and the other an American soldier. The first teaser trailer definitely took an anti-communist stance. Perhaps we will also see trailers from the Soviet point of view. Of course, art can also imply that the game projects players as a kind of double agent. Since the left and right sides of the room are similar.
Players encounter historical figures and discover difficult truths as they battle across the world in iconic locations. Places like East Berlin, Turkey, Vietnam, Soviet Moscow and more. Players act as elite agents in an attempt to prevent a conspiracy that has been forming for decades. Meanwhile, they follow the trail of a mysterious figure, Perseus, who is on a mission to destabilize the global balance of power and change the course of history.

Improved Engine
Dan Bunting, from Treyarch, did a “virtual briefing” and revealed some information. He said a lot, but the most important thing was that the team was using an improved Call of Duty: Black ops Cold War engine.
The use of new tools has allowed the development of the game to achieve unthinkable goals. In addition, the technology that is intended to be scalable is proposed to work fully on future gaming platforms.
One of the promises for Call of Duty: Black ops Cold War is that the new engine will allow you to deal with the game’s lighting in a different way. The idea is to push the visual limits as much as possible, according to Alberto Noti, from Raven Software. He goes on to assert that the game seeks a more vintage look and that the color palette chosen specifically for each location will help in this.

With real-time lighting technology, it will be possible to have immersive elements like fog. But without detracting from modern graphics, which are increasingly visually sharp and photorealistic.
The developers apparently focused on capturing the Cold War era aesthetic. The part of the singleplayer experience will also stand out, allowing players to personalize the name, genre, history and more of their characters. This part of the game will serve as a direct sequel to the 2010 Call of Duty: Black Ops with characters like Frank Woods and Jason Hudson.
