Black Ops Cold War content has been around for a little while now in Warzone. The weapons, in particular, have been a notable addition, with many of them becoming the top weapons in Warzone. This has naturally led to a lot of nerfs for these weapons to get them under control. Because of the way these changes have worked, some Warzone blueprints are stronger than the actual weapons.
Blueprints in Warzone are supposed to be specific builds of weapons. In Cold War and Modern Warfare, they’re unlocked through various challenges and offer a pre-designed version of the weapon. This gives them a unique look and you have a better idea of the build you need to use with it. They’re a fun alteration, but not something that has much of an impact. Most players don’t even take much notice of the appearance of a weapon. Typically, the difference isn’t anything that affects your in-game performance. Thanks to a bug though, at the moment Warzone blueprints are better than normal weapons.
Warzone Blueprints Better Than Normal Weapons
After a recent set of changes, it appears that Warzone Blueprint shave become overpowered in-game. Players ran tests on weapons by using identical builds with and without blueprints. The results were surprising. Recent balancing changes haven’t affected blueprints at all.
The time has come.
?#Warzone update going live:
– DMR 14 – Reduced headshot damage, increased recoil
– Type 63 – Reduced headshot damage, increased recoil
– Mac-10 – Decreased headshot multiplier
– Dual pistols – Increased hip fire spread, decreased damage range
— Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) January 6, 2021
The biggest change from the update that hasn’t hit blueprints is the MAC-10. The best MAC-10 loadouts can make it a really effective weapon, but it doesn’t come close to the MAC-10 blueprints. Players have found that the nerfs haven’t hit blueprinted weapons. This has made Warzone blueprints better than normal weapons. So if you’re looking to get a better version of this weapon, then going for the blueprint is going to give you the best results.
The difference is substantial, and it comes down to a couple of oversights by developers. The first is obviously a rushed patch that only applied the nerfs to the standard versions of the weapons. The other oversight though is how the weapons were introduced in the first place. The best Cold War weapons were completely overpowered when first added into Warzone, and the nerfs haven’t gone far enough with some of the weapons. Both of these problems really need patching to get the game back to a healthy balance.
Are Warzone Blueprints Supposed to be Better?
It is important to stress that Warzone blueprints aren’t supposed to be any better than regular weapons. These are builds that offer visual changes. This should be the only change. That Warzone blueprints are better than normal weapons is just a bug. It is likely to be fixed in the future.
If you’re a Warzone player who is looking for any possible advantage though, this bug is something to watch. After future major patches, this problem might repeat itself. While it is a limited time advantage, using the un-nerfed blueprint weapons might be the way to at the moment.
