Monitor Settings for Fortnite – Complete Guide

Maximize the Brightness
This might very well be the most straightforward setting you can do on your monitor. Increasing your brightness will it make a lot easier to spot other players in dark areas, as well in the long distances.
You can also add additional brightness to the game itself. Go to settings and look under Brightness Calibration. Some monitors have a setting called “blur reduction” or “motion blur”. Leave this off. It sounds like a good thing, but it will dim down the picture slightly. Also, some players report an increase in input lag. If you have blur reduction or motion blur, turn it off inside the game itself!
Sharpness
This is a preference setting. Not all products offer this setting. If yours does a setting of 5-7 is recommended. Over 7-10 might fit some, but you will see the text getting too sharp to be comfortably readable.
Color Temperature
This setting is supposed to alter the accuracy of colors. It is what makes some monitors have a bluish, or reddish hue. Our advice is to leave this setting as standard. But you can play with the settings to see which you prefer. Just remember what the default settings were in case you aren’t happy with them. The two most popular settings tend to be 9300K (bluish tint) and 6500k (standard format).
Black eQualizer
Black eQualizer also is known as automatic brightness adjustment; some players prefer this. It will make dark areas more easily visible in real time while playing. However, if you have high brightness settings, it shouldn’t be necessary. As this setting is always working on updating the ideal brightness for every situation, it will decrease the image quality to compensate. It even can cause image flicker, and you do not want that.
Turn Down the Blue Light
If you find yourself in the storm often, this might be something for you. It can be quite hard to see in and out the storm in Fortnite battle royale. However, turning down on the blue will make it much easier to spot other players, who are in or about to leave the storm. Keep in mind that everything will lose some blue while playing!
Always Remember to save your monitor settings after you made your changes, its nothing more irritating to spending time on new settings and close the menu without saving.
Change Your Monitor Refresh Rate
Alright, this setting is not available for every product. It depends on what monitor you use. The majority of monitors have a refresh rate of about 60Hz. Which are not ideal for gaming, or fast-paced games. The refresh rate is how often per second an image is displayed on your monitor. The measurement is in Hertz (Hz), and that is how frequently the image is updated.
