Declassified Intel: Multiplayer Modes Overview
We will have Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy, Domination, and Kill Confirm brought back. In addition to them, other game modes include, VIP Escort, Combined Arms and Fireteam. For Black Ops 4 fans, the competitive control mode also returns.
VIP Escort
This is a new game mode with a 6v6 objective. A randomly selected player will become a VIP. Team members will have to protect him. This player only receives a kitted-out pistol, a smoke grenade, a UAV, and five companions to protect him.
The five protectors of the VIP player will have to escort him to an extraction point while defending himself against the other team. And of course, the other team aims to neutralize the VIP player. The VIP player, if killed, will only return in the next round.

Combined Arms
Combined Arms is a larger game mode where a lot of action happens. Basically this mode combines infantry with vehicular gameplay in a 12v12 battle. Depending on the map, you will have Tanks, Snowmobiles, Attack Helicopters, and Wakerunners. They will advance side by side with armed players waging intense combat.

At launch, expect to play multiple Combined Weapon Maps in a handful of Combined Weapon Modes, including Domination, which places multiple flags around a given map for teams to capture and defend.
Fireteam
Fireteam is a new 40-player category of Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer with up to 10 teams of four, where the action is centered around not just the operators in the field, but also the environment they battle in. The first available Fireteam game type is called Dirty Bomb, which we’ll have more information on as we get closer to launch!

Signature Combat: Initial Gameplay Information
In Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War you will have the familiarity of the Black Ops movement. However, new innvovations in gaming will also be present. Armament is the beginning. There is a new sound engine for weapons that will give the player more understanding of the enemy.
The Create-a-Class system is based on slot machines giving the player primary, secondary, lethal and tactical equipment. You will also have a Field Upgrade and a set of Advantages. Field Upgrades are items that will help your squad against enemies.
Loadouts can also be equipped with class-changing wildcards, which can provide one of four benefits:
- Grant eight attachments to a primary weapon
- Take up to six benefits
- Double the number of lethal and tactical spawning equipment
- Take three advantages of any category, instead of being limited to one of each.
