ESL is known for organizing some insane Esports events. CS:GO, Starcraft 2 and Dota tournaments are the major game titles that took the ESL by storm. This year, Fortnite makers “Epic” have agreed to enter this mix.
Fortnite will be a part of ESL Katowice 2019. This event is played over several weekends and would feature Fortnite in two separate windows,
Event 1: 100 Polish Players, $100k USD in Prize Money
This event will be held on the 23rd and 24th of February and will be open to players from Poland. 100 players are set to take part in this two-day event and will be streamed on all major platforms.
Event 2: 100 Players from All Over the Globe Battle it out for $500k USD in Total Prize Money
This is the big one! All major players who have been grinding and making a name for themselves last year have been invited to showcase their skill and sweat it out in this main event.
Apart from this, fans attending the IEM Katowice event have the opportunity to enter “free-to-play” tournaments held across 200 ps4 consoles and PC’s. Prize money worth $50k and other goodies will be awarded to the winners.
