It is bound to get players excited when it drops. So how do you play Spellbreak
If you want to join the party early and earn bragging rights that you played Spellbreak before it was cool, there are some ways you can get involved sooner. Those willing to spend some money are guaranteed to get their first hands-on experience soon. If not, there are still a few chances for you to play Spellbreak very soon.
How to Play Spellbreak
Spellbreak is not currently in an open play stage. The game will be free to play eventually, and the title’s testing stage is free to reflect this. However, this brings with it the usual caveat of not being entirely free to access. These early tests look very polished but they are an intimate view of the game’s development. Content is likely to change, and it might have some bugs.
The alpha stage is invite-only because of its unfinished state. Major changes are still happening regularly to the game’s content. With nearly every session, the map seems to be altered. So how can you play Spellbreak? There is a couple of ways.
The easiest is to spend some money. Spellbreak is offering three different Founder Packs that will give you first access to the game. This guarantees you a spot in the closed alpha and a spot in any future test runs. These packs give the developer a little cash to subsidise them while they continue to work on the game, but you do get something in return. You will receive a number of perks for backing the game early, the sort of items that you can show off once the game becomes public and is filled with players.

You will also receive $150 worth of in-game currency, giving you more value in currency than what you paid for the game. Like the other phases, you’ll be getting exclusive in-game avatars and badges, but with the Master Pack, you also receive those rewards for the two previous tiers as well as the one you have supported.
How to Play Spellbreak in the Closed Alpha
If you want to know how to play Spellbreak without paying, it is a little more difficult. Since the Alpha is closed and the developers are trying to raise some funds for development from founder’s packs, you aren’t guaranteed a spot. You can visit this website and sign up. It might be a bit of gamble, but it could pay off. Alternatively, this does put you ahead in their list of prospective players when the game actually launches.
Signing up for this won’t guarantee that you will be selected. You might get lucky, or you might have to wait a while. Streamer or influencer will get keys for the sake of promotion. So if you’re one of those groups, you stand a better chance of getting access. If you’re not so lucky, you might have to be content to wait.
If you can play Spellbreak or not, it is definitely a title to keep your eye on as it draws closer to an open alpha and release.
